These terms govern your use of Center Lane ("the app"), published by Aether Tools ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What this app is. Center Lane reproduces a declassified United States Government document and helps you read it. It takes no position on whether the document's claims are correct.
Not medical, therapeutic, or paranormal advice. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical advice or a claim that any statement in the 1983 report is true. If a later version adds optional audio sessions, they are a relaxation tool, not a medical device, and — consistent with the whole Aether Tools family — nothing in the app flashes or strobes.
The source document is public domain; attribution
The underlying report — Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process, document CIA-RDP96-00788R001700210016-5, dated 9 June 1983 — is a work of the United States Government and is not subject to copyright under 17 U.S.C. § 105. We claim no ownership of it. We do claim the app's own software, design, transcription, and any editorial notes, which are provided to help you read the source and are marked as separate from it.
The document is presented as-is, as a historical record
The report is reproduced as a primary source. Statements within it are its author's and reflect a 1983 assessment; they are not our statements, our advice, or a representation by us that they are accurate. The transcription is derived from the FOIA scans and may contain OCR errors; the scan images are authoritative where they differ from the text.
The missing page
Page 25 is absent from the CIA's released copy. Where any circulating version of that page is shown, it is labeled unverified and identified as not part of the official release. We make no representation that such text is genuine.

We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
