Privacy Policy
GOETIA//VM is an offline software-art app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. It does not create accounts, serve ads, include analytics, or talk to a server.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information. There is no backend. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the device.
Camera
THE RITE may use the camera as a scrying vessel (live capture). THE VIGIL uses the camera as a statistical instrument (frame noise, pulse under torch-light). Frames are processed on the device and are never uploaded. Permission is requested only when you start one of those features, not at launch (iOS Settings / Android app permissions). You can refuse the permission and still use the rest of the app, including naming a symptom in THE RITE or picking an existing photo via the system photo picker.
Photos
If you choose “a vessel already captured,” the system photo picker returns a single image to the app. That image is downsampled and reduced to hue and brightness on the device. We do not read your gallery, and we do not request storage or media-library permissions.
Sharing
SHARE THE SEAL copies a seal-plate already bundled in the app into a cache file and hands it to the system share sheet. That is user-initiated. We do not upload the plate.
On-device state
THE TEMPLE ledger and the one-time preface flag are stored in local app storage. They are not backed up to iCloud or Google because cloud backup is disabled for this app.
Stores / purchases
App distribution and any purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We never see your card details.
Children
The app is not directed at children. It reconstructs historical occult texts.
